Product Overview

The Global Works Patient Statement System (PSS) increases self-pay collections and improves the patient experience through the production of attractive and easy to read statements that clearly indicate patient obligation. And the solution is partnered with GE Healthcare Mailing Services for cost-effective outsourced production.

The Patient Statement System uses MS Word as the statement design tool, offering you great flexibility in formatting and page layout. Individual statements printed or viewed on the screen by users are formatted exactly as the statement sent to the patient. PSS facilitates postal savings for high volume production through transmission of an output file to your print vendor of choice.

Business Drivers

The effectiveness of the statement is a key component of both the revenue cycle and patient satisfaction. A clearly presented statement encourages prompt payment, reduces calls and improves self-pay AR days. Many patients wait to pay until they are certain that they have a final bill. Patient Friendly Billing is also an important part of patient care. By the time the bill is received the patient may not remember what the visit was like. A good statement closes the loop of clinical care by providing a clear, concise, correct and patient focused communication of the balance owed. And, if the patient does call for information, the customer service staff needs to have online access to statement information to provide quick and accurate responses to patient questions and concerns.
